This month sees the launch of three new Ivy Collection Restaurants, all opening with the reassurance of converged Telecoms, IT and Internet solutions provided by QDOS Communications.
The Ivy Collection has launched several restaurants off the back of the reputation of the renowned flagship Ivy in West Street London. The three newest editions being the Ivy City Garden in London’s Square Mile, The Ivy Marlow Garden and The Ivy Cobham Brasserie.
QDOS were approached by Caprice Holdings having previously provided Telecoms, IT and Internet for the Ivy Collection – the first contract being the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden in 2014, swiftly followed by a further eight venues over the last three years. Each restaurant is designed to deliver the memorable experience that is synonymous with the Ivy’s unique style. The restaurants are open seven days a week offering full service from breakfast through to dinner, therefore it is essential that communications run smoothly for both staff and customers.
The requirements of each restaurant were individually assessed in order to provide the very best ICT solutions. QDOS fitted Avaya Telephone Systems to manage the high number of expected reservation calls, this is integrated with OpenTable, the restaurant reservations system connected to the Avaya contact centre. IT LAN Networks including HP PC’s and printers supporting Google Apps for Business were installed, enabling user access to email, cloud storage, collaboration tools and business-grade security.
To support internet access for all diners and staff, QDOS provided 100Mbps Fibre Leased Lines together with Ruckus Access Points. The same circuit is securely partitioned for the back-office Internet and for SIP Telephone Lines, offering cost savings in line rental and call charges. Ongoing, QDOS will provide 24/7 x 365 remote and on-site service support to all venues.
Simon Catterick, Chief Executive, QDOS Communications Ltd said “Having supplied Telecoms, IT and Internet solutions to all the Ivy Collection Restaurants, we were delighted to be awarded another contract from Caprice Holdings. The Ivy venues are always very popular, therefore the reservations offices are inevitably busy, and the technology in the restaurants needs to work at an optimum level to meet the requirements of diners and staff. Caprice are working with us on a busy development schedule with a further ten restaurants this year located in Dublin, Edinburgh, Tower Bridge, Bath, Guildford, York, Cheltenham, Harrogate, Manchester and Leeds, with more set to follow in 2018”
