Located within Manchester’s new NOMA district, an £800 million, 20-acre, mixed-use redevelopment scheme, and the largest development project in North West England, the £30 million Hotel Indigo Manchester – Victoria Station hotel and accompanying restaurant took two years to complete. The build process saw architects and developers restoring formerly dilapidated, Grade II-listed city buildings and the addition of a 14-story rotunda tower. The 187-bedroom hotel is positioned alongside Victoria Station.

The 120-cover restaurant and bar ‘Mamucium’ and the 75-cover ‘M Café’ will be managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which operates more than 70 hotels and resorts across the UK.

To meet IHG ICT Brand Standards and those of Interstate, QDOS-sbl installed an on-premise Mitel MiVoice for hospitality business communication platform that delivers voice, messaging, mobility, presence, conferencing, collaboration and applications. Connected Guests iCharge offers a comprehensive set of call accounting features enabling hotel staff to manage billing for guests and administration teams. iCharge also provides an interface to Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Services – an enterprise Property Management System (PMS) platform for hotel operations, offering comprehensive, next-generation capabilities that hotels need to enhance guest experiences and improve operating efficiency.

Connected Guests InnLine provides a fully featured hospitality messaging application focused on the needs of guests and hotel staff. In addition, InnLine delivers a range of system wide features including multi-level auto attendant. Mitel 5330 and Mitel 5320  handsets were installed for front and back of house with Mitel 5624 cordless WIFI handsets for mobile staff. Retro Wild and Wolf 302 handsets were installed in bedrooms. A full HP server and core and edge network switch infrastructure was provided, together with 20 HP PCs and laptops.

In the next few months QDOS-sbl are also set to supply, install and commission Mitel MiVoice Hospitality Telephone Systems, Connected Guests platforms and HP Local Area Network infrastructure for the new 92-bedroom Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon, and the 166 bedroom Hotel Indigo Bath boutique hotel in the heart of the City.
