To coincide with the opening of SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden, a new 128-seat dining room and bar, with trademark sushi bar centrepiece and a stunning private dining room with large terrace overlooking the Covent Garden Piazza, QDOS-sbl has installed a multi-site Converged Telecoms and IT Network for the popular restaurant group.
SUSHISAMBA opened its doors in New York in 1999 and now has five venues worldwide, all famed for their unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian culture and cuisine.
SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden is the second London venue and newest edition to the group. Located at the famed Opera Terrace, the restaurant runs along the entire east side of the market making for beautiful rooftop views across the piazza. Bold in design, the restaurant offers a host of inviting dining and drinking experiences from the bar with its ‘living ceiling’, the exposed kitchen and high energy sushi bar to the terrace overlooking the square below.
SUSHISAMBA City is located on the 38th and 39th floors at 110 Bishopsgate and features the highest outdoor dining terraces in Europe, offering unparalleled, 360 degree views of the City. Two panoramic glass elevators whisk patrons from the ground to the 39th floor, opening up London from inside-out as the lifts climb further upwards to Duck & Waffle located on the 40th floor which offers a playful take on traditional British cuisine with broad European influences served in a vibrant atmosphere that welcomes guests 24/7.
The SUSHISAMBA Amsterdam venue is situated on the stunning, seventeenth-century UNESCO World Heritage Singelgracht, SUSHISAMBA Amsterdam offers an inviting al fresco canal-side, colourful & high energy dining experience during the spring & summer and a warm and welcoming escape during cooler months.
To meet the complicated Telecoms and IT requirements of the restaurant group and the circa 100 users split between the restaurants and the London based, European head office team, QDOS-sbl installed and commissioned a Converged Network that incorporates a Hosted Domain Controller, File and Print Server and Terminal Services Console. A resilient link has been established between the UK and US datacentres for remote monitoring and management of users and filesharing.
A Hosted Avaya IP Office Telephone System serves the restaurants and head office with Oak Contact Centre software ensuring a consistently high standard of successful interaction and communication with customers. Detailed call reporting provides useful management information including line usage, call volumes and staff activity. Given the high quantity of reservations made daily, live reporting can help keep caller waiting times to a minimum. The team can even access ‘lost call’ details, so as to schedule call-backs during quieter periods.
Exponential-e Leased Lines have been installed providing fixed bandwidth speeds from 100Mbps to 1Gbps with guaranteed uncontended connectivity. The fully managed service provides uninterrupted Internet with flexible bandwidth management enabling the restaurants to switch bandwidth up or down and control their Internet traffic.
Enterprise grade Ruckus WiFi infrastructure has been installed in the restaurants with Captini Social Media Marketing software enhancing customer loyalty and reputation management that can drive repeat business. Capture of valuable data is made easy and helps the restaurants boost their social presence, whilst TripAdvisor enables restaurants to harness the power of positive reviews. The Captini software leverages customer feedback to increase bookings and can automatically send personalised messages to customers based on their visit history, profile and venue interaction.
In addition, to accommodate the 24/7 operation of Duck & Waffle and the international location of the restaurants and remote users, QDOS-sbl provides remote ServiceDesk support around the clock, 365 days a year to ensure that all Telecoms and IT systems are working at peak efficiency, morning, noon and night.
