The fifth boutique property in the Nadler Hotels Group’s luxury portfolio has opened in London’s bustling Covent Garden with the reassurance of converged IT and Telecoms platforms delivered by QDOS-sbl.

Overlooking The Strand in a restored Edwardian building, the 57-bedroom Nadler Covent Garden is the fourth Nadler property to be opened in London. Architecture firm PJMA designed the hotel over six floors with stylish guestrooms and suites focussing on quality British design and craftsmanship. Each thoughtfully designed guestroom and suite offers chic accommodation that, as per the company’s ethos, delivers on comfort, convenience and aesthetic. Designed with a refined residential style, each room features the brand’s signature Mini Kitchen, complete with a BRITA filter water tap and Nespresso coffee machine. In addition to high-quality accessories The Nadler Covent Garden provides complimentary ultrafast Wi-Fi, and HD TVs enabling guests to stream content direct from their mobile device. Testimony to the immediate success of the hotel is that a matter of weeks after opening, The Nadler Covent Garden is currently ranked #10 of 1,112 hotels in London on TripAdvisor*

Nadler Hotels commissioned QDOS-sbl to provide a Converged IT and Telecoms platform to meet the requirements of this leading central London hotel. The solution that followed was deployed on time to meet operational requirements, with cost effective one off capital costs and low ongoing operating costs.

A Mitel MiVoice 3300 MXe Hospitality Telephone System was installed to provide a scalable, reliable communications platform in order to offer guests a faster, more personalised service. The system incorporates small gestures that make a big difference, like remembering guest names and preferences and providing timely service whilst protecting their privacy at all times by integrating with the innovative Guestline hospitality property management solution. The Mitel MiVoice 3300 MXe platform also enables The Nadler Covent Garden to simplify and accelerate their operation with communications solutions and applications that are tailored for hospitality businesses. For instance the Mitel MiVoice 3300 MXe platform frees staff from their desks with mobile solutions that let them serve guests, complete tasks and stay in touch while on the move. With a mobile app that’s customised for a hotels processes and property features, staff can work and communicate in real time, no matter where they are on the property, giving them freedom and flexibility to streamline workflows, reduce staff workloads and accelerate service.

A 1Gb Fibre Exponential-e Leased Line was installed with secure VLANs for Guest Internet, Back Office Internet and SIP Telephone Lines offering a fully managed Internet service with up time, uncontended bandwidth and resiliency options all guaranteed.  Hewlett Packard servers were configured using Hyper V technology software on which multiple virtual machines run, increasing IT agility, flexibility and scalability while making IT simpler to manage and less costly to own and operate. In addition, a range of Hewlett Packard laptops and PC’s were provided to meet the needs of the front desk and back of house teams. Sophos Intercept X was installed to provide the industry’s most comprehensive endpoint protection built to stop the widest range of cyber threats. In addition, the Microsoft Office 365 Business subscription service includes access to Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and online productivity services, as well as business services such as web conferencing, hosted email, and online storage. The biggest advantage that Office 365 offers Nadler Hotels is the ability for the head office and hotel operations teams to work from anywhere as long as they have an internet connection. Being entirely cloud-based, they can access email, files and office programs from any location and any device.

QDOS-sbl will continue to support The Nadler Covent Garden with 24/7 managed service delivery and IT helpdesk. Cloud-based Datto Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools were deployed enabling the technical team to deliver managed services by using a system that empowers them to focus on what matters most.
