With good communication at the heart of every successful hotel, QDOS has been enlisted by Splendid Hospitality Group to conduct a technology refresh exercise to install flexible, scalable, secure, new Telephone Systems, optimised to meet the needs of the hospitality industry, for some of InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) most famous hotel brands.

These include the following owned, franchised hotels.

  • Hotel Indigo Edinburgh
  • Holiday Inn Wembley – London
  • Holiday Inn Express Gatwick – Crawley
  • Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes
  • Holiday Inn Express York
  • Holiday Inn Express Leeds East

The IHG ‘Brand Standard’ Avaya IP Office 500 Telephone Systems offer great operational efficiency to the hospitality industry. For example, in a busy hotel environment over 80% of staff are mobile, delivering service, answering calls and managing back office tasks. The new Avaya IP Office Telephone Systems offer mobile working to free staff from fixed locations, applications to manage service requests and business analytics to help the hotels manage operations.

Avaya IP handsets were installed at reception and the back office, providing rich communications applications and services on a large display programmed for a variety of functions, making communication with guests simple and effective for staff. Existing bedroom handsets were retained so as to protect previous investment made.

In addition TelecomEye Call Accounting and Guest Voicemail was integrated, with the system providing Wake Up Call software, and an Automated Attendant distributing calls to IHG’s Central Reservations Office (CRO).

Now installed and fully commissioned, QDOS provides 24/7 maintenance service under a master service-level agreement, which ensures a prompt and professional level of support, at all times.

Splendid Hospitality Group is one of the UK’s fastest growing privately-owned hotel groups which has made a name for itself through the design, construction and operation of a full range of hotel styles and locations throughout the UK. In addition to the hotels listed above QDOS has provided Telephone systems and/or services to other Splendid Hospitality owned five-star luxury hotels to include Conrad London St. James, sitting just steps from London’s most iconic sites; The Grand Hotel and Spa York, being an iconic Edwardian building offering opulent, stylish accommodation; and Vanbrugh House, the intimate, boutique hotel at the heart of Oxford.

Simon Catterick, CEO of QDOS said “we have enjoyed a long business relationship with Splendid Hospitality, and the telecoms technology refresh project is the latest we have delivered so as to meet ICT brand standards, under a framework package price. With Splendid Hospitality focused on developing a portfolio of branded hotels and niche boutique operations in key UK cities, and with a proven track record of renovations and/or expansion at their hotels, together with a programme of providing leading technology solutions for guests and back office operations, we hope to further develop this successful business relationship in the years ahead.”
